Bond Facility Advisory Committee
In January 2025, the Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call a $105,395,000 bond election, which was approved by voters in May 2025. The bond addresses aging facilities, safety improvements, enhance academic learning environments, expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, and prepare the district for future growth.
Approved projects include:
- Construction of a new high school with capacity for 600 students
- A new auditorium with approximately 40% more seating
- District-wide safety and security upgrades
- Renovations and improvements at the elementary, intermediate, and junior high campuses
Before calling the election, Fairfield ISD formed a Bond Facility Advisory Committee, of more than 20 members — including staff, parents, and community members — to review district needs.
Over several months, the committee:
- Toured campuses and evaluated facility conditions
- Met with the District’s financial advisor analyzing budget and cost estimates
- Reviewed enrollment projections and growth data from local projects such as Freestone Club, Calpine Gas, and solar developments
- Prioritized facility needs and made recommendations to the Board of Trustees
The 2025 Bond represents Phase One of Fairfield ISD’s long-range facilities master plan. As local growth continues and property values increase through regional development projects, the district anticipates pursuing Phase Two in the future — the construction of a new junior high school on the current high school site.
