FISD Board of Trustees
The Fairfield Independent School District Board of Trustees is made up of seven unsalaried community members elected to serve three-year terms. The board provides leadership and oversight for the district by setting policy, approving curriculum and budgets, overseeing facilities planning, and hiring the Superintendent. Trustees act only as a governing body during duly called public meetings.
Public Board Meetings
The Board of Trustees holds regular meetings at 6:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Fairfield ISD Administration Building. Meeting dates, times, or locations may be changed as needed, and special meetings may be called. Agendas are posted on the district website in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, at least three business days prior to a regular meeting and at least two hours before an emergency meeting.
