On Wednesday, March 4, The Grand Band competed at the Groesbeck Zone 1A to 4A UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation held at Groesbeck High School and earned outstanding results.

The Varsity Band received straight Division I ratings from the judges, earning Sweepstakes honors for their performance.

The Non Varsity Band also had a strong showing, earning ratings of 1, 1, and 2 during the concert performance and 1, 1, 1 in the sight reading portion of the evaluation.

The UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation assesses bands on their prepared musical selections as well as their ability to perform a piece of music they have not previously seen.

Fairfield ISD is proud of the students and directors of The Grand Band for their hard work and dedication representing the district.
