Fairfield ISD Welcomes T’Leah Jennings as Girls Coordinator and Head Girls Basketball Coach

Fairfield ISD is excited to welcome Coach T’Leah Jennings as the new Girls Coordinator and Head Girls Basketball Coach.
Coach Jennings brings 20 years of coaching and teaching experience to Fairfield. She has spent the past 10 years at Snyder High School serving as Girls Coordinator and Head Girls Basketball Coach. During her career, she has led multiple playoff teams, earned all star coaching honors, and currently serves as the Region II Senior Director for the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA).
Coach Jennings graduated from Snyder High School, where she was involved in volleyball, basketball, FFA, 4-H, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She continued her athletic career at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, where she played JV Basketball for the Flying Queens and Volleyball for the Pioneers. She later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with an emphasis in mathematics. Coach Jennings will also serve as a math teacher at Fairfield High School.
Her coaching career began at Frenship High School and Frenship Middle School in Wolfforth, Texas, before moving to Breckenridge High School where she coached volleyball, basketball, and track. Jennings later served as Girls Coordinator, Head Volleyball Coach, Head Basketball Coach, and Assistant Track Coach at Ranger High School, where she also taught Algebra I and Math Models. While at Ranger, she received the KTXS Teacher Tribute Award.
Jennings later moved to Cross Plains ISD where she coached basketball, track, cross country, and golf while also serving as a math teacher and yearbook sponsor. During her time at Cross Plains, she helped lead the Lady Buffs to back to back State Track Championships and a trip to the Girls Regional Basketball Tournament.
In 2015, Jennings returned to her hometown of Snyder, where she helped rebuild the Lady Tigers basketball program into a consistent playoff contender. Along the way, she earned recognition as a Texas Girls Coaches Association All Star Coach and an FCA All Star Coach.
In addition to her coaching experience, Coach Jennings has taught a wide range of high school math courses throughout her career, including Algebra I, Algebra II Honors, Geometry Honors, Pre Calculus, STAAR remediation, and college level math support programs. She will also teach math at Fairfield High School.
What attracted Coach Jennings to Fairfield was the strong sense of pride, tradition, and community support surrounding the district and athletic programs.
“From the conversations I’ve had and what I’ve observed, Fairfield values relationships, hard work, accountability, and developing student-athletes both on and off the court,” Jennings said. “Those are all things that align closely with my own beliefs as a coach and educator.”
Coach Jennings said she is excited for the opportunity to help shape the culture of girls athletics while building programs that are competitive, disciplined, and connected.
“What excites me most about this opportunity is the chance to make a lasting impact on student-athletes and continue to help build a culture that the entire community will be proud of,” Jennings shared.
“The opportunity to serve as Girls Coordinator allows me to influence not only success on the court, but the overall experience and development of young women across all girls sports,” Jennings added. “From everything I’ve experienced about Fairfield, it’s a place with strong tradition, community support, and high expectations, and that’s the type of environment I want to be part of and contribute to every day.”
She wants Fairfield athletes to continue being known for working hard, competing together, and holding high standards in the classroom, in athletics, and in the community.
Coach Jennings and her husband, Josh, have been married since 2023. They have a son, Hayden, who will attend Tarleton State University this fall to pursue a degree in engineering.
Please join us in welcoming Coach Jennings to Fairfield ISD.
