    Registration

    Returning Student Registration for the 2026–2027 school year opens Thursday, July 23, 2026. Parents/guardians of students who were actively enrolled at the end of the 2025–2026 school year should complete Returning Student Registration through Parent Portal

    Please note: Students must be registered before class schedules or teacher assignments can be released.

    Returning Students

    1. Log in to Parent Portal.
    2. Click Resume Registration.
    3. Click Start Registration next to your child's photo.
    4. Confirm and update all required forms.

    New Students

    New student registration is available online now, though Parent PortalRequired enrollment documents can be submitted once campuses reopen on July 23.

    First Day of School

    Wednesday, August 12

    School Hours: 7:50 AM–3:35 PM

    Doors Open: Doors open daily at 7:15 AM.


    Free Breakfast & Lunch

    Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all Fairfield ISD students during the 2026–2027 school year.

    Families do not need to complete a meal application. However, every household is encouraged to complete the Income Survey. The survey helps Fairfield ISD receive important state and federal funding while also determining student eligibility for benefits such as college application fee waivers and ACT/SAT test fee waivers.

    Both are available on the FISD Nutrition website.

     


    Homeroom Assignments

    Homeroom assignment postcard pick up will be available at Fairfield Intermediate on August 4 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

    Remaining postcards will mail out August 5. 

    Students must be registered to receive a postcard.

     

     


    3rd Grade Orientation

    August 10
    4:30 PM

    To receive a class schedule, students must complete online registration and clear all outstanding fines.

    First Day Notes

    • Parents may walk students in on the first day of school only beginning at 7:15 AM.
    • Please be patient with traffic during the first week.

    Afternoon Pick-up

    • 3rd & 4th graders (and families with siblings in multiple grades) – Front of the building
    • 5th grade single car riders – Back of the building
    • Car tags are required and will be sent home with students.

    Please make sure your child knows how they’ll get home each day. For any changes, contact the office before 2:30 PM.

    With ParentPortal, you can:

    • View current grades
    • View progress reports
    • Access report cards
    • Check attendance records

    To view your student's report card:

    1. Log in to your ParentPortal account.
    2. Select your student's name.
    3. Click Report Card.

    All schools in our district use ParentSquare for school communication primarily with email, text, and app notifications.

    ParentSquare automatically syncs with our student information system to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
