Fairfield ISD Welcomes Miller Motley as Theatre Teacher

Fairfield ISD is excited to welcome Miller Motley as the new Theatre Teacher for Fairfield Junior High and Fairfield High School for the 2026-2027 school year.
Motley earned a Bachelor's degree in Theatre from East Texas A&M University and brings six years of theatre teaching experience to Fairfield ISD.
Originally from Trinidad, Texas, Motley has been involved in theatre since sixth grade, beginning with children's productions at a local community theatre and continuing through numerous college productions. Over time, a passion for performance evolved into a focus on directing and educational theatre.
For the past six years, Motley has served as the One Act Play director at Trinidad High School, leading productions to the UIL State One Act Play Contest five times. In 2023, his students earned the UIL State One Act Play Championship.
"I chose Fairfield ISD because it felt like a great fit from the moment I visited," Motley said. "This year, I am excited to get to know my students, help them grow, and encourage them to create meaningful art while expressing their creativity."
Motley's love of literature, theatre, and storytelling inspired his career in education.
"I enjoy helping students develop their skills, express themselves creatively, and achieve their goals," he said.
Outside of school, Motley enjoys reading, sewing, theatre, documentaries, podcasts, trivia, and spending time with family and friends.
"I am excited to join the Fairfield community and can't wait to see the creativity, talent, and art that students create this year. Go Eagles!"
Fairfield ISD is proud to welcome Motley to the Eagle family and looks forward to the impact he will make in the theatre programs at both Fairfield Junior High and Fairfield High School.
