Construction continues across Fairfield ISD as work moves forward on several Bond 2025 projects, including the new Fairfield High School, Eagle Stadium parking improvements, and upgrades to athletic fields that will serve both district students and community youth programs.

With site preparation underway and several important milestones ahead, Fairfield ISD is excited to share the latest progress with our students, families, staff, and community.

New Fairfield High School

Site work is underway as crews prepare the property for construction of the new Fairfield High School. Demolition of the former Administration Building is scheduled for the week of September 28.

A detention pond is being excavated on the south side of Oak Street, near the lower practice field, to help manage stormwater runoff.

The new Fairfield High School is scheduled to open in August 2028, welcoming students for the 2028–2029 school year.

Eagle Stadium Parking Lot

Work is underway on the new parking lot on the west side of Eagle Stadium. Excavated material from the high school construction site is being transported to the parking lot to raise its elevation closer to the back of the stadium.

The west parking lot is scheduled to be completed in spring 2027, in time for Fairfield ISD's home track meets.

Junior High & Community Youth Athletic Fields

Remaining excavated material from the new high school construction site will be transported to the junior high practice fields.

The two upper practice fields will be leveled to create one large, playable surface, with new sod and irrigation installed.

Once completed, the improved field will provide additional space for junior high athletics and community youth leagues, creating more opportunities for students and young athletes throughout the Fairfield community.

Upcoming Construction Milestones

Several important milestones are planned as construction progresses on the new Fairfield High School and other Bond 2025 projects.

Spring 2027 | Eagle Stadium West Parking Lot Completion

The new west parking lot is scheduled to be completed in time for home track meets.

Fall 2027 | Beam-Signing Event

Students and staff will have the opportunity to sign their names on a structural beam that will become a permanent part of the new Fairfield High School. This special event will allow students and staff to leave their mark on the new campus and become part of its history.

Summer 2028 | Student-Led Community Tours

Students will lead tours of the new campus, giving families, alumni, and community members the opportunity to explore the new Fairfield High School before it opens.

August 2028 | New Fairfield High School Opens

The new campus is scheduled to open for the 2028–2029 school year.
